We're Anthem Awards Finalists (and We Need Your Vote!)
We have some news worth celebrating: Clarity Up has been named a Finalist in the 5th Annual Anthem Awards.
The recognition is for our work on the TEDxAlexanderPark talk "How to be an activist who creates real change" - a script we developed with animal rights activists Carey Theil and Christine Dorchak that tells their 20+ year journey to end commercial greyhound racing in the United States. The talk already won the 2025 Cicero Award for Speechwriting in the Social Justice category, and now it's being recognized by the Anthem Awards in Special Projects under Awareness Categories, Humanitarian Action & Services.
Here's the thing: we're in good company. This year's Anthem finalists include Andrew Garfield and Sesame Workshop, Katie Couric and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, Paramount Pictures, Spotify, MTV Entertainment Studios, and The Daily Show. Selected from over 2,000 submissions from 42 countries, these finalists represent what the Anthem Awards call an "unwavering commitment to progress and positive change."
Why This Matters to Us
As communicators and speechwriters we tend to work in the shadows, so that our clients' important projects and missions can stand in the spotlight. For us to be given the spotlight for that work is an honor and truly a joy.
To me, this recognition isn't just about one speech. It's about the broader work we do helping mission-driven leaders on 6 continents communicate clearly across 20+ industries & topics: animal welfare, marine science, LGBTQ+ rights, cybersecurity, women in STEM, disability rights & accessibility, parenting, domestic violence & sexual abuse, human trafficking, and more. When experts in these fields can explain their big ideas clearly, those ideas have the power to create real, lasting change.
Vote for Us (Seriously, Please Vote)
The Anthem Community Voice voting is open through October 30th. This is where you come in.
While the official judges will select Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners, the Community Voice Award goes to the entries with the most public support. That means your vote actually matters here.
It takes less than a minute. You'll see our entry alongside all the other finalists in the Humanitarian Action & Services category. Click our name, click vote, done.
My mom figured it out. You can too.
If you've ever worked with us, hired us, attended one of our workshops, or just believe in what we're doing - helping smart people explain their big ideas clearly so they can create meaningful change - this is a simple way to support that work.
Voting closes October 30th. Winners will be announced November 18th.

If someone Googled you right now, would they meet the version of you that actually exists?
That’s the question that opened our recent masterclass on brand voice - and it landed hard.
Avital Eusgeld - founder of HiPitched Branding and the strategist behind some of the clearest, most human brand voice systems out there - says most of us are showing up online with a mix of “sort of me,” “past me,” and “this was a Canva template.”
