The Magic of Message: How to Talk Less, Say More, and Connect with Anyone
You’re really smart, and that’s a problem. Because the more you know about something, the harder it is to explain it to an outsider. And if people do not know how to talk about what we do, they will not talk about what we do. The secret to spreading ideas isn’t making them better—it’s making them clearer.
In this high energy presentation, you’re going to learn how magicians instantly capture attention, earn trust, and build meaningful relationships, and how you can apply the same techniques to earn buy-in during your next pitch, presentation, or networking conversation. Brian believes, “Everything can be said clearly” — and in this program he’ll show you how to clearly talk about what you do, every time.
By the end of this presentation, attendees will craft a 2-3 sentence introduction they can use to turn every conversation into lead generation.
Make Your Case: How to Put the Right Ideas in the Right Order, Every Time
Whether you're on a sales call, planning a communication campaign, designing a presentation for stakeholders, or just trying to convince your kids to clean their room, you’re always working to create change. But even our most carefully crafted messages often fall flat, leaving our audience unmoved and unchanged. Why aren't we breaking through?
Brian Miller is a messaging consultant who spent the first decade of his career as a professional magician, and through that work uncovered the hidden structure behind truly compelling communication. Change requires change—and after this presentation, you'll change the way you design your communication forever.
By the end of this workshop, attendees will:
Understand the primary psychological reasons that stop stakeholders from buying in.
Discover a 5-step approach to designing messages that always work.
Create a top-level outline of their new core messaging using a simple, repeatable framework for building donor messages that inspire action.

Ioana’s Presentation
Forget Confidence. Build Courage.
We all want to feel confident. Especially when we are in the spotlight: pitching an idea, sharing a point of view in a meeting, doing a presentation, speaking at a conference.
But that visibility comes with a risk: that others might judge us.
So we either:
avoid or postpone until we’re ready (=confident enough in our ability to manage that risk), before daring to put ourselves in the spotlight,
overexplain, overload and confuse our audience, or
overdo our niceness, leaving our audience in doubt about our capacity to deliver.
To overcome these challenges, and become compelling communicators, we must get to know ourselves better: understand what happens in our brain and body, and leverage those mechanisms to our advantage.
This keynote will help attendees:
Understand the biological mechanisms that impact their Presence when speaking in high-stake situations
Identify strategies that will help them manage their specific type of stress response (avoidance, overexplaining or overdoing niceness)
Reframe their need for Confidence and begin to build Courage instead.
Most suitable for: Industry experts, Researchers, High Potentials or Individual Contributors (in organizations) building up their Visibility and Leadership Presence
