What to Do When You Disagree With Someone You Love
Meagan O'Nan | TEDxBelltown Women
The world feels more divided every day, but we still want to have meaningful relationships - even with the people we disagree with. Meagan O’Nan is an award-winning author and award-winning speaker on belonging, inclusion, and human connection, who believes that we can bridge divides by confronting fears, embracing vulnerability, and cultivating inner courage. As a gay woman raised in small-town America, she challenges the idea that it’s ok to “agree to disagree.” Her third book, "Held And Free: Coming Out of Your Story,” has garnered prestigious awards and her work has been recognized by her hero, Desmond Tutu. She imagines a world where we can still stay close to people in spite of our disagreements.
