VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — October 15, 2025 – Clarity Up LLC announced today that it has been named a Finalist in Special Projects under Awareness Categories, Humanitarian Action & Services, in The 5th Annual Anthem Awards. The recognition honors the firm's work on the TEDx talk script "How to be an activist who creates real change," delivered by animal rights activists Carey Theil and Christine Dorchak at TEDxAlexanderPark.
Clarity Up joins a prestigious group of 2025 Anthem Awards finalists including Andrew Garfield and Sesame Workshop, Katie Couric and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, the Clinton Global Initiative, Google, Paramount Pictures, Spotify, MTV Entertainment Studios, and The Daily Show. This year's finalists were selected from more than 2,000 submissions from 42 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
Anthem Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. Judges for the 5th Annual Anthem Awards include an esteemed panel of leaders from organizations dedicated to social impact, including Nancy Brown, CEO of American Heart Association; Born This Way Foundation VP of Content + Brand Mitu Yilma; Gates Foundation Head of Global Media Partnerships Miguel Castro; Trovon Williams, Senior VP of Marketing and Communications at the NAACP; Planned Parenthood Vice President of Brand Lauren Garcimonde-Fisher; and Erika Soto Lamb, VP of Social Impact Strategy at Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios at Paramount.
"This hasn't been an easy year for the impact sector, but the Anthem Awards community has once again stepped up to provide hope and change lives no matter the circumstances," said Anthem Awards General Manager Patricia McLoughlin. "This year's Finalists are an exemplary group of changemakers that we are excited to uplift and celebrate over the next 16 days."
The recognized work tells the 20+ year story of Theil and Dorchak's campaign to end commercial greyhound racing in the United States. The script earned the 2025 Cicero Award for Speechwriting in the Social Justice category before being named an Anthem Awards Finalist. Clarity Up's message design approach helped transform complex activist strategies into a clear narrative that demonstrates how persistence, legal reform, and political engagement can create lasting change.
"As communicators and speechwriters, we work in the shadows so our clients' important projects and missions can stand in the spotlight," said Brian Miller, Founder and Principal Consultant of Clarity Up LLC. "For us to be given the spotlight for that work is an honor and truly a joy."
